Steel Wire Reinforced Thermoplastics (PE) Composite Pipe Advantages

Temperature-Resistant
Good Hydraulic and Excellent Contruction Performance

Good hydraulic characteristics – The inner wall is smooth, resistant to scaling, and has low flow resistance.

Excellent construction performance – Lightweight, easy and quick installation; complete range of matching fittings; using electrofusion joints; strong resistance to axial tension.

Good Pressure and Strong Crack Resistance

Good pressure resistance – The maximum pressure resistance can reach up to 3.5 MPa.

Strong crack resistance – It can withstand corrosion from most chemical media and does not undergo electrochemical corrosion.

Good Traceability and Long Service Life

Good traceability – The pipe has a metal layer, making it easy to detect and locate during subsequent construction without damaging the existing pipeline.

Long service life – Under normal usage conditions, it can be used for 50 years.

Excellent structure

The reinforcing framework and inner and outer layers of the pipe are mutually integrated into a whole, achieving a balance of rigidity and flexibility.

Product Introduction

The Steel Wire Mesh Reinforced Plastic Composite Pipe, also known as the STRP pipe, is ingeniously constructed with a blend of high-strength plastic-coated steel wire mesh skeleton and thermoplastic polyethylene. With the steel wire winding mesh acting as the reinforcement for the polyethylene plastic pipe, this advanced pipe exhibits superior strength and durability.

The foundation of the pipe is high-density polyethylene (HDPE), which tightly connects to the steel wire skeleton, sandwiched between the inner and outer layers of HDPE. This robust connection is achieved through a high-performance HDPE modified adhesive resin, resulting in a sturdy pipe structure.

One notable feature of the STRP pipe is its integral design – the reinforced skeleton and the inner and outer plastic layers merge into one inseparable unit. This innovative design eliminates concerns about the plastic layers separating from the reinforcement, ensuring a reliable and long-lasting performance.

Experience Exceptional Performance with Steel Wire Mesh Reinforced Plastic Composite Pipes

The high-pressure reducer pipe is made of carbon steel, denoted by multiplying the larger diameter by the smaller diameter.

Standards for high-pressure reducer pipes include national standards, American standards, British standards, and a variety of non-standard high-pressure stampings.

The process of forming the reducer pipe involves placing a tube blank, which is equal in diameter to the larger end of the reducer, into a forming die. By applying pressure along the axial direction of the tube blank, the metal moves and shrinks to form along the mold cavity. Depending on the size of the diameter change of the reducer, it can be formed in one press or multiple presses.

The features of the high-pressure reducer pipe include significantly higher strength than carbon steel of the same carbon content. It also has excellent toughness and plasticity, as well as good weldability and corrosion resistance.

High-pressure reducer pipes are typically used in horizontally installed liquid pipelines because one side of the pipe is flat, which facilitates the expulsion of air or liquid, making it convenient for operation and maintenance. The roundness of the reducer pipe should not be greater than 1% of the corresponding outer diameter, with a permissible deviation of ±3mm.

If the chosen diameter specification of the reducer pipe does not match the inner diameter of the process pipe, it is necessary to undertake appropriate shrinkage or expansion treatment. In cases where pipe shrinkage is implemented, the pressure loss caused by this should be taken into account as it could potentially affect the process flow.

To prevent the installation of the reducer pipe from impacting the distribution of the flow velocity field, causing pressure loss, and consequently reducing the measurement accuracy of the electromagnetic flowmeter, the central cone angle α should not exceed 15°—the smaller, the better.
